Teletubbies is a British TV series made by Ragdoll Productions, the e same studio that created Boohbah, In The Night Garden, Tots TV, Rosie and Jim and Brum. The series started in 1997, and ended around 2001 after 425. However, there is one that was produced, but never aired on television.

I found this episode in Target just before I left, when I noticed a DVD case being sold for a very low price. The cover simply had, “Teleubbies Dipsy’s Rage (Unaired Episode)” written in red sharpie on it. Upon closer examination, I’d noticed that the writing itself was in cursive. Curious about what this so-called “Dipsy’s Rage” was about, I bought it for only $2. When I got home, I inserted the mysterious DVD into my PlayStation 2, and pressed play.

Strangely, the menu screen froze for about 15 seconds. Soon, the opening for Teletubbies played. However, something wasn’t right.

First of all, it had lighter colors, and the voice-trumpets you would normally see in the intro, were missing. It was as of they were invisible, or they have been offscreen or something. After the intro, my TV screen turned white for 3 minutes before the episode started. Instead of starting with the Teletubbies, it was a magical event video, but this time, it wasn’t shown on the Teletubbies’ screens that they had on their stomachs. Usually, the wind mill spins preparing for a TV event, but not in this one. The people resembled, Flint Lockwood’s voice actor “Bill Hader”, Tom Hanks “Sheriff Woody’s Voice Actor”, Tim Allen, Patrick Warburton, and Javier Fernandez-Pena, “Buzz Lighthear’s Voice Actors, and Mary Kay Bergman, and Joan Cusack, “Jessie’s voice actors”. One of the people who voiced flint from cloudy with a chance of meatballs, and the other people voiced Woody, Buzz, and Jessie from toy story. The four people were in what resembled an abandoned middle silo, and they appeared all scared. Suddenly, a voice that sounded like the narrator from the tv show said, “Press any button to be lead out. However, one of the buttons mean, Death!” I was shocked that the voice would mention death in a kids’ show. Eventually, Tom Hanks, “Who voiced Woody in Toy Story” pressed a dark red button that said, “Do Not Push”, and it cut to an actual missile being fired at the silo. Soon, the entire complex was engulfed in a massive explosion. I could hear the people’s agonizing screams as they were burned alive.

After that, It cut to the Teletubbies outside, but they were acting unusual. Dipsy (The Green Teletubby) looked like he didn’t have any sleep for weeks, and there was an angry expression on his face instead of a happy one. The other Teletubbies seemed scared and worried about what Dipsy might do next. Then, Dipsy spoke in a full sentence, unlike many other Teletubbies, to my surprise.

”I’ve Had It!”, said Dipsy in an alien-like tone. “I’m sick of spending my entire life in this purgatory of ours.”

The other Teletubbies stepped away from Dipsy, and he reacted with, “Stay There!”. Suddenly , Dipsy grabbed a knife, and lunged at Laa Laa (The Yellow Teletubby ). Dipsy started stabbing Laa Laa in the chest. Each time he plunged the knife into Laa Laa’s abdomen, the footage became distorted, until static filled my TV screen. Soon, the static cleared to a new scene of Dipsy, now covered in blood, standing next to Laa Laa’s corpse.

“Yes!” He cried with a tone of triumph. “I killed them all. Now, I don’t have to deal with any of those freaks ever again”. The camera moved left to reveal the remaining two Teletubbies, lying face-down in a pool of blood.

The scene faded to black for 15 seconds, before it showed Dipsy crying into his hands. There was only a fly buzzing noise instead of actual sobs.

“Why did I kill my friends?” Dipsy moaned. “What drove me into committing this gruesome spetacle? Now that they’re dead, I’m going to join them, and face my actions.” After his psychotic breakdown, Dipsy finally realized what he did was bad. It then faded to Dipsy all alone in an empty studio. Although the footage was in poor quality, I noticed that I saw a grotesque creature lurking in the background.

Eventually, a scene of Dipsy hoisting up a noose was shown. However, I only saw him place a chair underneath, before it cut to the most disturbing video clip I’ve even seen. It showed all four Teletubbies that were in what resembled hell. Their bodies were covered in bleeding wounds and scratch marks. Text appeared saying, “you didn’t watch another episode of us. Someday, you will regret it”. In the background, I could hear the “Game Over” theme from Sonic.EXE.

The episode finally ended with a simple, “Have A Nice Day” message. Then, the credits rolled with the only crew member being listed as “Anne Wood”. Apparently, she served as the director for this episode. After that, I grabbed the DVD, and threw it into her backyard, and buried it into the soil. I had nightmares about this episode for weeks. Apparently, this was going to be the final episode of the Teletubbies series, but it was unaired because it would scare children for this.

If you ever find a DVD like this, please don’t watch it. I’m not joking, I’m serious.
