Hello. The first time I tried this, I didn't do it correctly, so now I'm remedying that.
My name is Squidmanescape, and I'm an RCaDC on this wiki. For over two years, I've been acting as essentially a bureaucrat, because I'm the only active member of staff.
However, now that some time has passed, I've become rather lenient towards "Quality Standards", and I want to keep it that way - but other people might not.
I'm afraid that one of the old, dormant bureaucrats will become active again and start purging stories from the Spinpasta Wiki. I've grown to really like this wiki, and I don't want that to happen. That's why I want to become an admin.
How This Will Help The Community:
1.) Automatic Introduction - Normally, I have to talk to people manually, one at a time, because the automatic introduction bot doesn't recognize me as staff. However, if I become an admin, then instead of an unhelpful message, I can make a message that links to stuff like the Category Listing.
2.) Delete Unnecessary Things - There are some mistakes I can't reach as an RCaDC, but which sometimes cause confusion.
For example, long ago, someone created a blog page with the "Creepypasta" category. Because of that, new users sometimes think "Creepypasta" is a category, even though it's not.
As an RCaDC, I can't delete this, but as an admin, I can fix this and other mistakes.
3.) Restructuring the Wiki - I want to try to make the wiki easier to read and navigate. But I'm not an admin, so I can't change the Community page or change the colors of things. If I were (wink wink), I can do all those things.
4.) People Can't Replace Me - This is honestly the big one. Right now, someone might get active and start deleting stuff without my permission, but I'll be incapable of stopping them. I don't want that to happen.
If you know anyone who would want an opinion on this, please ask them. I have to invite everyone who's edited in the last 6-8 weeks, and if I've missed anybody, I hope you can tell them so they can have an opinion and tell me.
Right now, I'm not a bureaucrat. But soon, I'll become a bureaucrat. This isn't too much of a change; my name will be pink instead of yellow, and the Wiki-introduction bot will actually recognize me.
Does anyone have any issues with this?
Hello! I’m new here and would like to see what you guys think of my first story.
Here it is.
